September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
“This is an important month for us to all recognize, as a province, that we have many families in our communities, our friends, our neighbours, our family members, who are impacted by childhood cancer, says James Scongack, Chair of the POGO Board of Directors. I want to recognize, in particular, our frontline healthcare professionals, in hospitals, in AfterCare settings, and in the pediatric oncology sector for all of your personal dedication, for your professionalism, and for your leadership in supporting families and children with cancer.”

CCM_LL 2021.pngLifeLabs: More than a Corporate Partnership
In August 2017, LifeLabs pledged $200,000 to POGO, becoming the “Proud Partner” of our Pajamas and Pancakes fundraising campaign. Over the past four years, that pledge has turned into a total of $276,149.83 (to date!) and our relationship with LifeLabs and its employees has evolved to become so much more than a corporate partnership. Together, we are improving patient care and transforming the cancer journey for children, youth, their families and survivors in Ontario and beyond.

In his latest blog, Jamie reflects on his penchant for “gross-out” humour, Jello-O, a tight butt, and shares how his follow up appointments at a POGO AfterCare Clinic led him to this particular “poop and farts” experience.
