Make Connexions

Scott Allardyce is a Senior Policy Advisor in the Ontario Public Service (OPS) Accessibility Office. What does that mean? It means his job is to help people with disabilities find jobs in the Ontario government!

Here’s what Scott and the Accessibility Office offer:
  • Networking assistance to connect people with disabilities with OPS staff to talk about different career options
  • Resumé reviews to make sure your resumée fits the position you’re applying for. Once reviewed, your resumé is added to the Accessibility Office’s resumé database to be considered for future jobs
  • Assistance with applying to internships and co-ops, including the Summer Employment Opportunities Program
  • Mock interviews to help you prepare solid answers for the actual interview
  • Connexions Day helps college and university students and graduates learn about how to apply to government positions
  • A Connexions Employment Newsletter that comes out every week, with job postings and other employment information

All these services are provided free of charge with the hope that candidates with disabilities can present themselves in the best way possible.
